This website gives details of a 'Kingdom, Commerce & Calling' event we held in Birmingham in October 2011 which was very well received. Delegates said they found it inspiring, challenging and useful. We are considering repeating this in Birmingham and/or elsewhere in 2012. Meanwhile details of this first event are below.
Thanks to everyone that attended the conference. Do make sure you follow up on the opportunities that were presented - if you need any more information from any of the organisations please get in touch with them now. If you have any suggestions, comments or feedback we'd love to hear it.
If you couldn't make it, or were there and want to remind yourself what you saw, please find the speakers' slides below:
Work is not just a venue for evangelism and a source of funding, it’s much more than that. Work is what God did right at the start: creating something new, good, beautiful, exciting and fit for (Kingdom) purpose.
This evening is designed to help business and professional people explore where God may be calling them and to look at several opportunities
for involvement in the UK or overseas, which could be alongside or dovetail with existing work commitments.
For some it may bring risk and adventure. For many it will bring a fresh sense of fulfilment and significance. If you sense God nudging you in a fresh direction, please join us.
